With the advent of summer and after a month-long break from climbing (previous crag visited was Ryssgraven), I felt the need to explore new areas for rock-climbing and bouldering around the beautiful city of Stockholm. With the forecast predicting good weather over a week, I decided to visit an open bouldering place in Fridhemsplan, Stockholm. The best part of this place is that its free !!! The park has a Skatepark for kids and teenagers, open gym, walking and running track, amphitheater and lots of open space for picnic.

Rålambshovsparken or Rålis can be reached from Fridhemsplan Metro station, about 10 minutes walk from Drottningholmsvägen exit. The twin boulder-wall is at a corner of the park near the kids-play section. It falls right near the start of the bridge- Västerbron.
Some people complain that the holds are never changed, but personally, as a student, I like this place very much and I still like to visit this place during my free time, rather than going for indoor climbing.
